Behold! The Mega-rod!!!

I have this friend that will randomly ask you weird stuff like, "What would you do if I just kicked you in the face?... right now!" and being the pacifist I am I usually respond, "I don't know... say ow." but (I don't if I've been too many Birds of Prey or if I'm starting to take after Big Barda) today I responded "I'd bludgeon you to death with my MEGA-ROD!!!" being the comic book nerd I am... so then my friends asked my what a Mega-rod was and after I explained they were all laughing... okay even my first impression of it was inappropriate but STILL! I need to start hanging out with people that have cleaner minds... -_-

oh, and for those of you who don't know what a Mega-rod is, its a rod shaped weapon that has many functions (*sarcastic* hardy-har-har -_-) such as transporting, flight, shooting a very destructive beam, and its good for just hitting stuff...

Action Comics... o.O

So, today my friends were making fun of my Mister Miracle comics again and making inappropriate jokes so I told them about Action Comics 592-593 were Superman and Big Barda make a porno... o.O I know right, there are some things in this world that you can't UNSEE!!! so anyways they have this think about making jokes about me and my "erotic" comic books... WHICH IS TOTALLY UNTRUE!!! although a lot of comics tend to have sexual references or innuendos its not any worse than the tv shows (Justice League Unlimited was JUST as bad!!!) there not meant to be inappropriate and most of the time if they are its because the reader has taken it out of context or and a mind so far deep in the gutter that not even a boom-tube could get them out! and remember, all these comics go through censors before being released to the public!

Today, I was reading my Mister Miracle #4 with the first appearance of Big Barda, and my friend started reading it over my shoulder and making "that's what she said" joke of like every page. I will never be able to read that comic the same way again...

Ugh, why so many ages?

I was reading Justice the other day, and I must say Alex Ross is AMAZING!!!!, but I love the parts with Hawkgirl and Hawkman, they were so cute and then I read some old Justice League of America and it had a scene with Hawkgirl (Kendra) and Red Arrow and I didn't really like it... at all -_- so now I'm like obsessed with Hawkgirl and Hawkman (see! I told you it would happen...) and there isn't really any Justice League Unlimited episodes I can watch because for some reason in that series they decided to make her fall in love with Green Lantern (John Stewart) *shutters* Im sorry to all you GL/HG fans out there but SHE BELONGS WITH KATAR (or Carter, how ever you chose to spell it)!!!!! and thats final! and unfortunately almost all the fanfiction is about them to so I guess my only option is to hunt down some good comics! so anyways, now that I've collected 95% of the Mister Miracle series, I think I'm going to start hunting down any issues of Hawkman I can find, or Hawkworld cuz that series looks good too =P So the whole point of this post was to say that I MUCH prefer Golden Age Hawkgirl to Kendra (even though she is just a reincarnation of the original Hawkgirl, but thinking about all that just makes my brain hurt so...) ya, and by the way, why are there so many ages? what happens when they make more? they already used Golden, Silver, and Bronze... whats next... plastic? (I bet Plastic Man would like that ;P)

Why is everyone the same?!?!

Has anyone else noticed that almost all the DC superheroes have black hair and blue eyes. I don't know about you but I've never met someone who naturally has black hair and blue eyes, and yet a majority of DC heroes do...
